SPRING POST 1: MUSIC AS LITERATURE

Can we consider music to be literature?
I think yes music can be consider as literature. In each song there is a different story that they singing about. It also has different tones and moods that help people feel.
What is literature?
Well literature cant really be defined it changes over time. But there are some ways people see literature. Like us as students we see it as reading out of a text book and reading alot of novels.
What is the differences between a novel, a poem, a rap, a song, an opera, and a symphony?
Novel: representing character and action with some degree of realism.
Poem: piece of writing that partakes of the nature of both speech and song usually rhythmical and metaphorical.
Rap: saying rhymes to a beat of music
Song: a short poem or other set of words set to music or meant to be sung.
Opera: a dramatic work in one or more acts, set to music for singers and instrumentalists.
Symphony: an elaborate musical composition for full orchestra, typically in four movements.
