    2. CENTRIFUGE: A machine with a rapidly rotating container that applies centrifugal force to its contents.

    3. SIEVE: A utensil consisting of a mesh held in a frame, used for straining solids from liquids.

    4. DENTIFRICE: A paste or powder for cleaning the teeth.

    5. LEISURE: Free time.

    6. VESSEL: A ship or large boat.

    7. SACCHARINE: A sweet-tasting synthetic compound.

    8. PHONOGRAPH: A record player.

   9. PROFUSION: An abundance or large quantity of something.

 10. PATRONAGE: The power to control appointments to office or the right to privileges.

  11. CADENCE: A modulation or inflection of the voice.

  12. STREWN: Scattered randomly.

  13. INSIDIOUS: Treatises and deceitful.

  14. GIBBERING: Talking nonsense.

  15. DELINQUENTS: An individual failing.

   16. TOIL: Work.

  17. HARLEQUIN: Classic comedian.

  18. VEILED: Covering of a brides face (veiled insult).

   19. PRAETORIAN: Of or having the powers.
